Lot of news for Zontes for 2021: the Euro-5 brings a wind of change, and the Chinese manufacturer has long been one of the most dynamic on the market. One of the most relevant for our market is the ZT125-U, naked with a very aggressive and young aesthetic.
The engine base relies on a single-cylinder, liquid-cooled 124.7 cc engine capable of 14.9 hp and 13 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm, with electronic injection and six-speed gearbox. The rims are obviously 17-inch with 110/70 and 130/70 tires, and has a braking system, managed by ABS, which relies on two discs of 300 mm and 220 mm respectively. The seat height is easily accessible with its 780 mm, while the dry weight is 128 kg which, in running order, rises to 138 kg.
The ZT 125-U is available in two color variants gray / blue and gray / red, which you see in the gallery below, both offered at 2,790 euros.
ZT125-G1
If you prefer the café racer look, you can turn to the ZT125-G1, substantially identical from a technical point of view to its sister except for the rubber (knobby, for a more scrambler aesthetic) and for the height of the saddle which it rises to 795 mm thanks to a more off-road setup.
Of course, the superstructures are also different, with a decidedly more classic line, the round headlight, and some aesthetic concessions to off-road vehicles such as tubular protections. The livery in this case is unique, with a fascinating matte black that contrasts with the bronze details, again at a price of 2,790 euros.
ZT 310 T1 e T2
The news does not end there: Zontes also enters the crossover / adventure market with two very similar models: the ZT 310 T1, with a 17 "front, and the ZT 310 T2, more oriented to off-road, with a 19" front.
The engine base is the same: a 312 cc liquid-cooled 4-valve single-cylinder engine (bore and stroke of 80 and 62 mm) capable of 26 kW at 9,500 rpm and 30 Nm at 7,500.
Fueled by electronic injection, it is of course Euro-5. The chassis is also very similar, with a 19-liter tank for both, and a curb weight of 205 kg. The tires include a 110/80 front for the T2 version, and a 110/70 instead for the T1. The rear is the same, with a 17 "160/60. The price is also slightly different, with 4,990 euros for the T1 and 5,190 for the T2.
ZT310 T-M
No details, however, but a lot of curiosity for the debut of the Chinese house in the sector of medium displacement sport scooters with this ZT310 T-M.
Enjoy the teaser ...
ZT 125 G1
But let's also talk about the already known Zontes ZT-G platform, one of the 2021 novelties for the Chinese giant, distributed in Italy by Distribike. Platform that is available in both scrambler and naked versions.
The object of our test is the ZT 125 G1, sold for 2,790 euros f.c. The basis is a 124.7 cc single-cylinder engine, Euro 5 approved, capable of 15hp at 8500 rpm with a maximum torque of 13Nm at 7000. The cooling is water, the Bosch fuel injection system and the transmission is a 6-speed with multi-plate clutch in oil bath. Also from Bosch is the ABS system, which guarantees good braking thanks to a 240 mm front disc.
We propose again the test carried out by our Enrico De Conti.
The frame is made of high-strength steel coupled to an aluminum alloy swingarm. The alloy wheels are 17-inch with hollow interior, and house knobby tires 110 / 70-17 at the front and 130 / 70-17 at the rear.
The curb weight is 138 kg. The height of the saddle, with electric lock, is 795 mm. To complete the technical equipment there are LED headlights, double USB socket, protections for the levers, the tubular and the pads that repair the bike from accidental falls.
