FMI Historic Register: how it works
Is your motorbike 20 years old and costing you in stamp duty, insurance and various expenses? The FMI has the solution for you. You only need to be a member of the Italian Motorcycling Federation to enrol it in the Historical Register for only 70 euros.
The advantages are enormous! You no longer pay stamp duty and the FMI insurance costs only 90 euro a year, which becomes 145 if you have three vintage motorbikes. The requirement? Having the motorbike in original condition and well maintained. Thanks to registration, you then have a certificate attesting to its authenticity and thus its value even if you sell it.
How to do it? It's very simple: take 7 photos and send them to the appropriate page on the Federmoto.it website.
Alfio Crespi, FMI National Examiner for the Historical Register, explains the correct procedure to our Andrea Perfetti.
