Nicolò Bulega:“My big change came in Supersport”
He arrived in the Superbike paddock on tiptoes, aware that he was playing his last cards, but then in just a few years Nicolò Bulega became an absolute protagonist in Superbike with... his sights set on MotoGP.
After taking stock of the season that has just ended, Nicolò talks to us about his future prospects. In testing, he will work in particular on dry/wet conditions, where he has not felt comfortable so far.
Talent? That alone is not enough: "There are many riders who have talent, but then you have to work to exploit it fully. As a boy, I thought it was enough, but then I realised that it wasn't. My second year in Supersport was decisive, when my career could have continued as it actually did, but it could also have taken a different, more difficult turn." That's where Bulega matured and became the rider who came close to the world title this year and who seems destined to move up to MotoGP in 2027.
Nicolò also gave his opinion on Bagnaia's crisis and VR46, citing the positive and negative aspects. As for next season, he expects to fight for the world title, but it certainly won't be a walk in the park as many claim.
He will be helped by the new Panigale, which Bulega has not yet tested enough to be able to give an opinion on. It is certainly very different from the current one, and above all, with the new rear swingarm, it should be easier to get the power of the engine down to the ground.
