MotoGP as you've never seen it: an afternoon with eSport champion Trastevere73
Together with three-times MotoGP eSports World Champion Lorenzo Daretti, we discover the behind-the-scenes of an industry unknown to many: eSports. How and how much a champion trains, his passions and his preparation, in a context of excellence
Lorenzo Daretti, better known as Trast73 on social media, is a boy from the class of 1999 who has taken the road to professional gaming, winning three world titles in the MotoGP eSport championship. Lorenzo has always been a motorbike enthusiast, so much so that he started riding on the track as a young boy, and is now a proud owner of a Yamaha R6, but his commitments as a professional gamer and university student often get the better of him.
Trastevere73 is recognised as a true athlete and is supported directly by Yamaha. We interviewed him during a special moment of the year: when we recorded the video there were only three races left to the end of the championship, where Lorenzo was occupying the first position. Double points and zero chance of error, the tension is palpable.
During the interview Lorenzo revealed how much commitment and dedication there really is behind his profession, also talking about the physical and mental preparation, a vital detail in his field. Also speaking was Riccardo Ceccarelli, nicknamed 'the Doc', who explained what goes on within the walls of Formula Medicine, a place that is nothing short of incredible.
