A message from Pietro Meda, President of Eicma
EICMA is a highly topical event. This is the first thing that needs to be clarified, a priori, because over the years and in the difficult circumstances in which the world has found itself, the question has seemed legitimate at a certain point. Pietro Meda, President of EICMA, clarifies this, while introducing the variables that must be, and have been, the subject of analysis and evolution.
For this reason, Meda tells us how EICMA presents itself, how it promotes itself, and what messages it sends not only to enthusiasts but also to the general public. It is the synthesis of a vision that the “new era” of EICMA has made its own and on which it has based its evolution.
From there, it is a short step to considering EICMA as an increasingly event-driven exhibition, i.e. one featuring a variety of events, exhibitions, competitions, dialogue and discussion, digital interaction, and its own exemplary initiatives. However, this is not the case from the point of view of implementing all this. And this seems to be the new, great strength of our “Salone”, which is closer than ever to enthusiasts.
