TM Racing
a family affair
It's the 1977 when the TM trademark is registered. The two letters that identify it are coming from the initials of the children of the two pioneers who gave life to this company: Claudio Flenghi and Francesco Battistelli (or “Mr. Motor” and “Mr. Chassis”). Also in 1977, Gastone Serafini, a young rider from Pesaro, receives a motorcycle to race. He won't just take her to the track. He will develop it and he will lead it to victory. Above all, he will give birth to that unique relationship, made of love for the company, which still sees him today in the front row, among the numerically controlled machines, in his Pesaro, as on the tracks all over the world.
At the Milan Motorcycle Fair in 1977, TM lives an unespectable success. Something enough to decide to move its headquarters to a new factory located in the industrial area of Pesaro. Gastone Serafini is now part of the property of the company which, in 1978, already produced over 200 motocross bikes.
In the following years, many riders, or rather champions, get on a TM. And with them also come great results. Successes that mature not only among motorcycles, but also in the world of karting, where TM becomes a leader, in a very short time.
Fortune? Courage? Surely these factors also count in life. But what makes the difference in TM is the choice of using just special materials, the will to prefer always of the best quality, combined with the obsessive workmanship of every detail. Even the most hidden.
Motorcycle manufacturers rightly aim for large numbers and turn to common suppliers. TM no. His bikes must be different. Faster. Most beautiful. More cured.
For this Gastone, his engineers and his mechanics decide to produce everything in Pesaro. From frames to engines. Even the shock absorbers are homemade, like the throttle bodies of the electronic injection! An obsession for the beauty of the components that makes TM appreciated and known all over the world. But aesthetics and care are not enough to win. Performance is also needed! And it is in this regard that TM excels with series engines that surpass the official ones of the most famous competition.
Of course, the prices are not entry-level, but not even the ones of a one-off, despite the certainty that only TM can guarantee that you can buy a production bike with world-class performance.
Whether it's off-road, enduro, or inside a circuti, with its Supermotos, TM is also about to close this 2022 with excellent results.
The Official Enduro Team led by Jarno Boano won the E2 class in the World Enduro 2022 with the phenomenal TM EN 300 4-stroke driven by Will Ruprecht, while the Supermoto S1 title ended up in the hands of Marc-Reiner Schmidt driving the TM SMR 450 of the L30 Racing Team of Ivan Lazzarini.
Almost 30 world titles in 45 years and a story that continues, even in the company. The entire Enduro, Motocross and Supermotard range was revolutionized in 2021. TM continues its mission to make us dream. It does so with the 125 SMR, also offered in the Replica versions. It does so with 4-stroke Enduro bikes, equipped with the most modern engines on the market today. And he doesn't stop believing in 2-stroke, with one of the most complete ranges: from 85 to 300 cc!
