When a passionate and experienced motorcyclist is forced to get off his bike, you can be sure he's annoyed. But that's not the case here, because Giovanni Copioli got off his bike to take the reins of the Federation that brings together all motorcyclists. Same passion, new passion, another mission, a very complex one.

A mission that requires constant concentration. And so, even when you think you can have a chat like you would at a bar, the President is always focused on the issues of his job, which is to promote activities by coming up with ideas, planning and implementing them. We talk about roads and he responds with safety, we mention industry, and Copioli focuses on the goal of activating a magic triangle of Federation-Industry-Institutions that allows all motorcyclists to see their passion racing towards ever new goals of objective progress.

Road safety requires road safety education, driving skills and social behaviour that is more suited to logical coexistence. It is a long, demanding job that requires a mountain of resources. But we are moving forward, counting on the acceleration of results sooner or later (hopefully sooner). These are long-term goals that go hand in hand with the daily commitment to project progress and the resolution of everyday problems, making this activity, which has long since ceased to be merely representative, complicated but at the same time very stimulating.

Of course, representing 110,000 members is a source of pride. But it is equally certain that if there were two or three times as many, or even one and a half times as many, that “numerical ratio” would greatly shift the influence of motorcyclists on the institutional side of the... perfect squaring of the triangle of a better (motorcycling) world. In the meantime, there is a goal within reach. The creation of the “Home of Italian Motorcyclists”, a headquarters for the Italian Motorcycling Federation that is not just offices and meeting rooms, but a place for all 110,000 (and more)!
