Antoine Meo, the phenomenon with boundless passion
Antoine Meo is contagious. You have to stay away from him if you don't want to be irrevocably infected by the strength of his character, which is essentially based, like a portal, on two steel hinges: boundless passion and fun, absolute pleasure in what he does (fortunately, but also with enormous professional commitment). In Italy, he was brought over, almost definitively, by Fabrizio Azzalin, the famous “tamer of wild riders”, who gave him a seat and some tips, and launched him into the firmament of the great Enduro champions.
To get there from Motocross, you need three things: a title (European Supercross), a dozen nasty knocks, especially to the knees, and the desire not to give up, perhaps “recycling” yourself into something else. That's where “Azza” comes in and the story takes off. In 2008, he made his debut in the Enduro World Championship, finishing 5th, the following year he was runner-up to the legendary Mika Ahola, and two years later, in 2010, the series was inaugurated. Unbeatable and unstoppable for four consecutive seasons, he took a “break” in 2014 and “returned” in 2025. Five titles, to which must be added the four winning seasons of the formidable French team, of which he is the ‘moral’ leader, at the International 6 Days Enduro. Then that's it.
But that's not enough, because he moves on to the Dakar, wins but takes some exemplary, ‘instructive’ knocks, dangerous situations that call for greater caution. Just enough time to get back on his feet and decide to hang up his helmet... and he enters the Ducati sphere. In short, he will make important contributions to the development of the fabulous Desert X and the new Desmo MX, the motocross bikes of the new Ducati era. Travel, tracks, more races... once you get hooked, it's hard to stop! Even if you like making pizza in the countryside with friends.
