Daniele Rossi, a Tuscan chef with 5 million followers, is as much a motorcyclist as he is a cook. Growing up next to the Mugello racetrack, he has made his passion for two wheels as much a trademark as his cuisine.

‘My passion was born from the stories of my father, who raced motorcycles,’ he explains as he prepares lemon linguine with tuna tartare for the Moto Festival. ‘My first motorbike was a GSXR K5 Superbike replica, which I sold and then went looking for again.’

A sports motorcyclist, Rossi has raced on the track with Aprilia RSV4 and CB1000R, but dreams of travelling on maxi enduro bikes. "I'm fascinated by touring bikes, the kind you can take on trips like in America. I've also had three T-Max bikes, which are perfect for the city.‘

His fondest memories? ’Riding through the Tuscan mountain passes during my lunch break: Scarperia, Raticosa, Passo del Giogo. In Mugello, there's a saying: if you're unsure, keep your foot on the gas. Once I followed it too closely and ended up in the ditch."

‘Motorcycling is like cooking: passion, escape, creativity,’ he concludes. ‘When I'm on the bike, I completely switch off. After a nice ride with friends, we stop to eat and tell stories. It's about sharing.’ Chef in the kitchen and rider in life.
