How do tomorrow's champions train?

How do tomorrow's champions train?

Ten years old and a boundless passion for motorcycles. Jason Brignoli represents the new generation of Italian riders who start competing on the track and against the clock at a very early age. At Orobikart, the circuit in Curno in the province of Bergamo, Jason trains every Saturday morning, preparing for the Italian championship that will start in April.

The story of this young talent began in San Mauro Mare when he was just four and a half years old. ‘We were on holiday, renting mini motorcycles,’ says his mother Luana, a motorcycling enthusiast. ‘Jason wanted to try it and it was love at first sight.’ From that moment on, the Brignoli family decided to support their son in this adventure, with his father acting as mechanic during training and his mother always present at the track.

Despite his young age, Jason already shows remarkable technical maturity. Returning to the pits, he discusses tyre pressure, gear ratios and the bike's behaviour when exiting corners with his father. ‘It slips in that corner, he fixes it and sometimes even changes the gear ratios because they're not right,’ explains the young rider matter-of-factly.

The week is dedicated to school, but the weekend becomes a time for intense training. The goal? To have fun, of course, but also to prepare as best as possible for the Italian championship races, where Jason will finally be able to compete with other young riders his age.
