Tucano Urbano GOOD WHEELS
The new GOOD WHEELS product line is made from fabrics derived from recycled plastic bottles and nylon materials. This is how it really comes into being
Two-wheelers reduce traffic, CO2 emissions, stress and effort of getting from one place to another. Imagine what our cities could benefit from if we all rode motorbikes, scooters and bicycles every day, all year round... rain, cold, shine, wind and heat... It would be wonderful! With GOOD WHEELS, Tucano Urbano wants to launch a real challenge for a world that is increasingly on the move on two wheels and careful to protect the urban environment. This is why Tucano Urbano is following a path that will lead it towards increasingly sustainable production, starting with the very concept of thinking, designing and packaging all its products.
The new GOOD WHEELS line goes exactly in this direction and the icon that identifies it will distinguish also all Tucano Urbano products made on the basis of the following criteria:
- fabrics from the recycling of plastic bottles and from the recycling of nylon materials (postindustrial waste fibres, yarns and scraps from post-consumer weaving, fishing nets, etc.)
- packaging reduced to a minimum and made from recycled and recyclable materials
- textile finishing and eco-friendly Water Resistant treatments
- products developed to last over time and to be repaired when possible
A collection that consists of the Orbis jacket, a short-cut product with four pockets, the classic Urbis revisited in a modern key, with the use of recycled materials. Alongside it is the Parka Monte, a longer jacket, available in both men's and women's versions (in this case it's called Stella). The Globis glove completes the outfit. And if each jacket is made by recycling 30 bottles each, only one for each pair is enough for the gloves.
A choice that testifies to an extraordinary modernity and an ability to look to a medium-term future which all companies and all individuals, sooner or later, will have to pursuit.
