Is mototourism an opportunity for the local economy?
What is the state of health of motorbike touring in Italy? Touring' motorbikes are at the top of the charts, but how are they used and what do the motorcyclists who choose them want? Do they still represent a resource for local entrepreneurs?
In this round table we outline the state of health of motorbike tourism in Italy. We try to grasp the trends underway and first of all understand whether or not it is a growing movement and what the induced impact of this practice is.
It is in fact a great resource for the discovery and revaluation of the territory, but also a business opportunity for local entrepreneurs. Together with the experience of FMI vice-president Rocco Lopardo, coordinator of the tourism commission, in this pleasant chat we have in fact joined that of Patrizia Ferrarini, a hotel entrepreneur who in Val di Susa has followed her own intuition and has become a reference point with her Hotel Napoleon for all travellers on two wheels.
Added to their experience is that of Alessandro Pagani, federal instructor and guide, who with the Di Traverso School Adventouring organises not only courses but also experiences in contact with nature and discovering the territory. Together we try to understand what motorcyclists who travel from one region to another want, and how the figures and initiatives of private individuals and federations can address and satisfy these requests.
