Verino Iacovitti, the motorcyclist who draws riders with biro pens
We got to know him thanks to his Valentino Rossi portraits done in pen with a perfection that has the unbelievable, but there are many motorcycle-themed works of art that deserve to be admired. We went to visit him
Verino Iacovitti, an artist and passionate motorcyclist, was born in Atessa, Abruzzo, in 1985 and graduated as a mechanical engineer in 2006.
Both passions were born at an early age: the passion for motorbikes was born thanks to his father and older brother, while the passion for art is decidedly innate and grows with him, passing through different styles until he arrives at the airbrush, the one with which he feels most affinity, the tool that ‘makes him a painter’ and that most reminds him of motorbikes in terms of its setting and gestures.
An outstanding master, Alberto Ponno, guides him through the complex world of photorealism.
We motorcyclists have come to know him thanks to his portraits of Valentino Rossi done in pen with a perfection that has something incredible about it, but there are so many of his works that deserve to be admired, automotive and otherwise.
We visited him in Abruzzo, in his workshop under construction and therefore with not all the paintings present, and chatted with Verino the motorcyclist, but above all with the artist.
