Honda ICE Concept
Honda's future also passes through a three-cylinder hybrid engine, assisted by an electric compressor that optimises the intake of the internal combustion engine
There is prototype and there is prototype and the Honda ICE (Internal Combustion Engine Concept). It is illustrated by Andrea Venturini of Honda Italia, who calls it ‘the best of both worlds’, thermal and electric.
It is, in other words, a three-cylinder hybrid engine, assisted by an electric compressor that optimises the intake of the internal combustion engine, a configuration never before seen in motorcycling.
This technology, already tested in the automotive field, offers many advantages, including reduced dimensions and the ability to generate a ‘boost’ independent of engine speed, an approach that reduces weight and complexity while maintaining compact dimensions.
Although there are no official details yet on displacement and power, the Concept promises great versatility, adaptable to future models of all types.
