Paolo Troilo: the artist who transforms motorcycles into canvases

Paolo Troilo: the artist who transforms motorcycles into canvases

What happens when art meets power? When the force of artistic expression merges with the taut lines of a car body? We discover this in the world of Paolo Troilo, an Italian artist known worldwide for his unique painting technique: he paints using only his fingers, without brushes or filters. An instinctive, visceral, physical approach that has even confronted two absolute symbols of design and speed: a Lamborghini Huracán EVO and a Ducati Streetfighter V4.

In this chat, Troilo tells us how the opportunity arose to transform two such high-performance vehicles into three-dimensional canvases, veritable dynamic sculptures on which to imprint the power of his works, the result of a dialogue between man, machine, and matter.

The Lamborghini painted by Troilo, entitled Minotauro, is no longer just a supercar: it is a contemporary mythological creature that combines human musculature with mechanical aggression. The male body that emerges on the side is an explosion of restrained power that runs along the bodywork, integrating perfectly with the sharp lines of the Huracán.

The Ducati, on the other hand, has been renamed Centauro, in reference to the legendary half-man, half-horse creature. It is difficult to work on a motorcycle that has made thousands of enthusiasts fall in love with it. Using only his fingers and acrylic paint, the artist has imprinted a human figure on the V4's livery that seems to merge with the machine in a combination of skin and metal, instinct and engineering.

Troilo opened the doors of his studio in the heart of Milan to us, where he told us about the past, present, and future of his life as an artist. But is he also a motor enthusiast, or were the Lambo and Ducati really just two canvases to paint...?
