Among the emerging brands that have caught the attention of enthusiasts is Letbe, a Chinese brand aiming to conquer the European market with an innovative range of motorbikes and scooters.
As Alessandro Taglioretti, head of European distribution for Letbe, explained, the company's basic idea is to create easy, practical and reliable vehicles that the motorcyclist can cherish like a faithful companion.
This philosophy translates into an extremely varied product range, capable of satisfying the needs of a heterogeneous public. It starts from 125 cc for city mobility, to the 700 cc naked, via a 200 cc hybrid scooter capable of travelling up to 30 km in electric mode.
‘We have quite a range, from 125 cc up to our naked 700,’ Taglioretti continues. ‘The naked 700 is an extremely neat product, with 70 horsepower, a twin-cylinder engine that is not extreme, but with a concrete chassis and adjustable suspension. It's an easy and pleasant bike to ride, but one that will surprise you on the limit.’
Alongside the naked 700, Letbe also presents an interesting 500 cc bobber, also equipped with a twin-cylinder, but with dimensions and proportions more suited to the European market. There is also a large-displacement scooter, whose square and aggressive design deviates from the classic rounded shapes.
Innovation and attention to detail seem to be the cardinal principles of the Chinese brand, which aims to differentiate itself from the competition not only through attractive design, but also through cutting-edge technological solutions.
‘We also have a 200 cc hybrid scooter,’ Taglioretti concludes, ‘It is a very special product, with the thermal and electric parts positioned under the central tunnel. It can travel up to 30 km in electric mode, then switch to thermal mode once on the motorway.
