Urban air mobility
The new frontiers of short-haul mobility are expanding towards the vertical dimension
Urban air mobility
'Urban air mobility' is a new frontier of mobility, but it is still not actually talked about. New means, for new mobility needs, fast and green. It is a futuristic idea of moving around in and around cities on flying vehicles halfway between helicopters and drones. We asked Carlo Tursi, CEO UrbanV, what this new form of mobility will look like.
Do we have to imagine ourselves flying around cities and land on the roofs of skyscrapers? How will the management of routes and spaces work logistically? What are the characteristics of the vehicles we will soon see in the sky? There are indeed many curiosities unveiled by Carlo Tursi, not least those concerning the timescales and costs envisaged to realise the dream of Icarus even in the city.
