One of the most beautiful roads in the Alps, breathtaking scenery and, at more than 2,000 meters above sea level, a genuine paradise for motorcycle enthusiasts. Welcome to the Top Mountain Motorcycle Museum, on the Austrian side of the Timmelsjoch Pass, home to approximately 640 motorcycles spanning more than a century of motoring history.

Our guide is Attila Scheiber, one of the museum's owners, who shares the story behind the collection and recalls the devastating fire of 2021, when around 320 motorcycles were destroyed. Despite the tragedy, the museum rose from the ashes, returning bigger than ever.

Among its treasures is an extremely rare 1894 Hildebrand & Wolfmüller, widely regarded as the first series-production motorcycle, a million-dollar 1914 Cyclone, numerous four-cylinder Indians and exceptional examples of Italian engineering, from Angelo Bergamonti's Paton to the four-cylinder Benelli 250.

There are also fascinating technological rarities, including Doriano Romboni's twin-cylinder Aprilia 410, the Gilera CX 125, the Brough Superior Carbon 2 Moto2 racer and the exceptionally rare Van Veen OCR 1000 with its Wankel rotary engine.

But the museum offers much more than an impressive collection. Historical settings, temporary exhibitions and even a 4D motorcycle riding experience make the visit truly immersive.

A place where every motorcycle tells a story, and where the passion for two wheels meets some of Europe's most spectacular mountain scenery. A destination every motorcyclist should experience at least once.
