New 2027 Triumph Tiger 1200: here's how the British globe-trotter changes
Many subtle yet substantial changes across the board
Triumph has unveiled the new 2027 Tiger 1200, the second step—following the Bonneville T40—in the new model rollout announced in early October. There are many subtle yet substantial changes across the board: from the chassis (with the adoption of 19" and 17" wheels on all versions), to the mechanics, comfort, and equipment, all the way to increasingly cutting-edge electronics featuring ARAS active safety systems.
The 1,160cc T-Plane triple now pushes out 158 hp, and the four versions—GT Pro, Rally Pro, GT Explorer, and Rally Explorer—all adopt 19- and 17-inch wheels with 200 mm of suspension travel. Also making their debut are front and rear Bosch radars, SHOWA EERA HEIGHTFLEX semi-active suspension with automatic lowering, and a new 7-inch touch TFT display.
The outgoing generation was born in late 2021, presented at EICMA (here is our article on the prototype), and landed in dealerships in 2022. It was the Tiger of the T-Plane three-cylinder, with its irregular firing order making it pull almost like a twin, 150 hp, a serious weight-loss treatment compared to the previous generation, and a lineup divided into two souls: the road-focused GTs with a 19-inch front and 18-inch rear, and the Rally models, featuring a 21-inch spoked front wheel, 220 mm of travel, and clear off-road ambitions.
In this video, we explain everything: features, price, and when it arrives.
