Nos NS-11F: racing soul and custom comfort in the new fiberglass full-face
ightweight, safe (ECE 22-06), and highly customizable: we took a close look at the new NOS NS-11F. A fiberglass helmet that combines racing technology with touring-level finishes for a perfectly tailored fit in every situation
What happens when you try to blend the aggressive soul of a track helmet with the comfort needs typical of long journeys? The answer can be found by taking a close look at the new NOS NS-11F, a full-face helmet that promises to raise the bar in the mid-range segment thanks to technical solutions derived directly from the racing world.
In our latest "How it's made" format, we put this very model under the magnifying glass. The first thing that strikes you when picking it up is the scale: thanks to the hand-made MFC (Multiple Fiberglass Composite) outer shell, the weight stops at around 1,350 grams. An excellent result that brings it dangerously close to the lightness of pure carbon models, limiting neck fatigue on long distances without sacrificing maximum safety, certified by the strict ECE 22-06 homologation.
But the real "magic" of the NS-11F is hidden inside. The brand has bet everything on the "Define your fit" philosophy, offering the ability to completely customize the fit. By playing with the different thicknesses of the inner shell and cheek pads (equipped with an emergency quick release system), every motorcyclist can literally tailor the helmet to themselves, obtaining custom-made comfort. All this in contact with fine SuperDry-Fresh interior fabrics, which are ultra-breathable and antimicrobial.
Flow dynamics are not left to chance either. The MACH-Efficiency 2 ventilation system, with its enlarged central air intake and rear extractors, ensures constant air circulation, essential when the pace or the temperatures rise. The package is completed by a racing-style double D-ring closure and a quick-release 2D racing visor.
Priced at around 300 euros, the NOS NS-11F is a smart and extremely versatile choice, capable of satisfying both the Sunday corner-carver and the most demanding mile-muncher.
