Honda V3R 900 E-Compressor: revolution is getting closer
At EICMA 2026, Honda unveils the production-intent version of its revolutionary naked bike, featuring a 900cc V3 engine and an electronically controlled compressor. A motorcycle that could mark a new chapter in Honda's history of technological innovation
Few motorcycles at EICMA 2026 represent Honda's engineering ambitions quite like the new V3R 900 E-Compressor. Now displayed in a production-intent configuration, this extraordinary naked bike is getting closer to becoming reality.
At its heart lies a unique 900cc V3 engine, with two cylinders at the front and one at the rear, combined with an innovative electronically controlled compressor.
Unlike conventional forced-induction systems, this technology allows boost pressure to be controlled independently of engine speed, promising immediate throttle response and impressive torque delivery.
Honda claims performance comparable to a 1,200cc engine, although official horsepower and torque figures remain undisclosed. Could this become Honda's first true hypernaked?
The V3R 900 also features striking technical details, including a Pro-Arm single-sided swingarm, titanium fuel tank and exhaust system, asymmetrical styling, and a compact TFT display.
It continues Honda's remarkable tradition of innovation, from the legendary CB750 Four and oval-piston NR machines to modern technologies such as DCT and E-Clutch.
Pricing and launch dates have yet to be confirmed, but one thing is clear: with the V3R 900 E-Compressor, Honda is proving that internal combustion technology still has an exciting future.
