Customizing your motorcycle helmet: the Nos approach to perfect fit
How many times have you passed on a great-looking helmet because it just "didn't fit right"? With the NOS helmets' inner lining customization system, the problem is solved. We explain how it works and why it's a game-changer for your riding comfort
Anyone who has been riding a motorcycle for a while knows it perfectly well: there is no such thing as an absolutely perfect helmet, but there is the perfect helmet for your head. Or at least, there should be. Too often, in fact, we fall in love with breathtaking graphics and killer spec sheets, only to find out that once we put it on, that helmet just doesn't get along with the shape of our skull.
This is where one of the smartest and most "rider-friendly" innovations of recent years comes in: the fit customization system. In our recent Shorts video, we showed you exactly this, taking the NOS range as an example. The starting question is simple: "Can you customize a helmet?". The answer, today, is finally a resounding yes.
The secret lies in the modular architecture of the interior. NOS has in fact developed the Define your fit philosophy, an approach that allows you to decouple the size of the outer shell from the exact size of the padding. Basically, if the outer shell is the right size but the cheek pads are too tight (or the upper crown pad presses on your forehead), you are no longer forced to compromise or change to a larger size, which might leave you with a dangerously loose helmet.
Just choose different thicknesses for the cheek pads and the inner liner, mixing them to create a custom combination. It is like going to the tailor, but for the safety of your head. And make no mistake: this is not just an aesthetic whim. A helmet that fits optimally, wrapping around your face without painful pressure points, does not move at high speeds, reduces acoustic fatigue, and allows you to keep your concentration 100% on the road.
Seeing is believing? Check out our video. In a few seconds, we show you how easy it is to extract and replace the internal elements. Because in the saddle, comfort is never an optional extra: it is the first step to riding safely.
