Carles Solsona explains how tomorrow's motorcycles are born

Carles Solsona explains how tomorrow's motorcycles are born

How is a motorcycle created? And how does a manufacturer develop a distinctive identity in an increasingly competitive global market? We discussed these questions with Carles Solsona, head of design at Modena 40, CFMOTO's European research and development center.

From his education in Spain and Italy to his passion for motocross, Solsona looks back on a career closely connected to the Chinese manufacturer's growth. A journey that began with relatively simple projects and has now reached increasingly sophisticated motorcycles, including the CFMOTO 450MT and the 1000 V4 sportbike.

At the heart of the interview is the relationship between design and engineering, along with the transformation of motorcycle development through 3D printing and artificial intelligence, an area in which Modena 40 already has a dedicated team.

Solsona also shares his perspective on the motorcycle market, the growing identity of Chinese manufacturers and CFMOTO's future challenges. Above all, the need to develop increasingly ambitious products while maintaining the balance between quality, pricing and customer service that has helped establish the brand.

An interview that explores not only how motorcycles are designed, but also how the two-wheeler industry itself is evolving.
