Multi-Olympic World Champion
When a Champion wins everything and keeps on winning, you may be led to think that... he doesn't think about anything else. But Nino Schurter has a weakness for another Two-Wheeler...
Nino Schurter. A name that is like the plaque underneath the trophy, a living, unstoppable monument to "off-road" cycling (with a few fine outings on the road). Schurter, Swiss, class of 1986, has won everything, above all... more. Olympic gold medalist in Rio de Janeiro, the Swiss superman of the Scott-SRAM MTB Racing Team has won NINE World Championship titles and SIX World Cups. It's clear that his life is tied to the bicycle as his shoes are to the pedals that he tortures at every massacre. Like many Champions, Schurter has a more or less secret passion, let's say private, and vaguely related, that he cultivates with clear ideas about the meaning of life and fun. Not for racing, not for sport aimed at a competitive objective, Nino Schurter has a strong... weakness for the off-road motorcycle. Whenever he can, he gathers his group of passionate friends and goes off-road. He wears protectors, helmet and boots, takes the bike out of the van and goes for a ride. Off-road champion and gourmet, Schurter prefers the mule tracks of Tuscany, Piedmont and Oltrepò Pavese, perhaps on the historically indelible tracks of phenomenal editions of the Six Days of Enduro.
